Since 1770, the Rocky Hill Inn has welcomed guests with fine food, wine and spirits. Today, Chef Evan Blomgren continues the tradition. His modern American cuisine, combined with French and Italian flair, is showcased under the restaurant’s new banner, the Rocky Hill Eatery & Tavern.

“We’re a family business,” says Chef Proprietor Blomgren, who, with his wife Maria, reopened the inn in 2008. The extensive renovation preserved its history and architectural integrity. Family heirlooms and memorabilia are found throughout.

The convivial Tavern boasts a rustic wooden bar with 17 craft beers on tap and an outstanding selection of fine wines and specialty cocktails. The stylish Rockingham Room with its two fireplaces, antique decanters and elegant chandeliers is the main dining room. Upstairs, the Homestead Room hosts private parties.

The menu reflects Chef Blomgren’s diverse background, creative skills and commitment to using fresh, local ingredients. A graduate of New York’s French Culinary Institute, he brought his fine fare and flair to Central New Jersey’s top restaurants, including Lahiers’ in Princeton, Chamber’s Walk in Lawrenceville, The Metuchen Inn, Church Street Bistro in Lambertville and Martine’s in New Hope, PA.

“The Rocky Hill Inn has been a part of the community since Colonial times,” says Evan Blomgren, “We wanted a bank that is a part of the community, one that understands the needs of small businesses and the people we serve. The Bank of Princeton is run by our friends and neighbors, not a big, impersonal corporation. Now, it’s even easier for us to stay in touch - The Bank of Princeton’s new branch in the Princeton North Shopping Center is just down Washington Road from us.”
